-
Scrap wood
-
Leather Belt
-
Furniture Nail Heads
-
Saw
-
Sander
-
180g & 220g Sandpaper
-
Mineral Oil
Step 1:
Cut to size 4” wide by 8” long.

Step 2
Trace angle! 2″.5” from one side. Then angle down to meet 1/8” centimeter from the bottom. This angle was about a 28 degree angle.
Step 3:
Time to sand! The wood (walnut) I used while it’s hard wood it’s also really soft. So when sanding I only need to 180g and 220g.
Step 4:
Now we need to finish the wood. I choose to add mineral oil for the wood to keep the natural wood color.
Step 5:
Now is when we add the strap and nail heads. First you need to cut them to size. Using a spoon race the arch and cut with scissors.

Step 6:
Using a sharpie black out the edges of the belt. Now is the time to add the nails. Nail right through the belt into the wood. These should be long enough you don’t need to glue it or anything. Optional but I did added a felt bottom so that it would stay put when in use. And there you have it! The cutest door stop!
