Oversized Mirror

This project is not for the faint of heart. When working on this I ran into more problems than I’ve ever had with any other project. Which is crazy because usually when I work through a project I can execute it no big deal.

What you will need! (Finished size 64.5” Tall x 39” Wide)

  • 3/4” MDF Sheet

  • Primed Trim – 3 10’ pieces

  • Spray Paint – 2 Cans

  • Mirror 12×12 – qty 9

  • Mirror Glue

Here’s my doodle! Here’s my crazy hand drawing! lo

Step 1: Cut all the trim to size. Starting from the outside to the middle pieces. The vertical pieces should be 63” and you will need two.

Step 2: Cut all middle pieces to 12” long.

Step 3: Cut Horizontal pieces to 39” long. Once all of those are cut, then you can get started on putting them together.

Step 4: Glue and nail down all outside pieces. Once done glue down mirror, then add a middle piece. Working your way to the last mirror. (Note I didn’t do this, but I should have!)

Step 5: Fill in all of the holes from the nails and sand it down. This just makes sure it’s smooth.

Once that drys you are good to go!!
